AEIRS 2021 - 2022 Election

ELECTION RESULTS

The 2021-2022 AEIRS election results are in!   As the 2020-2021 President, I am pleased to announce our President-Elect & Board of Directors for the 2021-2022 year.

 

Julie Gill, from Ohio, has been elected President-Elect and will begin her presidency following the 55th annual meeting in Louisville, Kentucky in July 2022. She is currently the Secretary/Treasurer and will have completed a two-year term by the end of this annual meeting. She was a previous Director on the AEIRS Board. Dr. Gill has been active professionally on local, state, and national levels. She is a life member of the Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists (OSRT) and she served five years on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT). She has served on the Editorial Review Board for the ASRT and AEIRS and has served as a delegate for the ASRT. Dr. Gill has delivered multiple local, state, regional, national, and international presentations.

 

Kori Stewart, Associate Professor of Radiologic Technology; Clinical Director CT/MRI/Sono, from Connecticut, has been elected as our new Secretary/Treasurer.  She will serve a 2 -year term. Dr. Stewart has served on the Editorial Review Board for AEIRS as well as a member of the Scholarship Committee. She has served on the Board of the Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists from 2012-2020. She is a certified Imaging Informatics Professional with ABII.  Kori has delivered multiple local, state, regional, and national, presentations. The Board looks forward to working with Kori.

 

One of our newest AEIRS Board member is Kevin Clark, from Texas. Kevin will serve a three-year term as Director-at-Large. He has been active with AEIRS since 2014 and has been an avid AEIRS supporter for many years, serving on the Networking Committee and on the Editorial Review Board. Kevin has also served as the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT) Education Chapter Chairman and Delegate. Kevin also served as a Student Awards Reviewer of the Texas Society of Allied Health Professions. The board is very excited to have Kevin join the AEIRS Board. 

 

Thank you all for your willingness to serve.  AEIRS’ success is because of individuals such as you!  Thank you to all the members who voted in this year’s election.  The AEIRS Board of Directors are elected as “your” leaders and are committed to serving in the best interest of the membership. As we progress toward our 54th year as an organization, I encourage you to move this professional society forward by recruiting new members, mentoring and coaching novice and future educators, and sharing your knowledge and passion for education and the imaging sciences.  It has been a pleasure to serve as your President and I hope to see you virtually this July!

The following positions will be filled by election: President-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer, and Director-at-Large.

 

  • President-Elect: All active AEIRS members who have served on the AEIRS Board of Directors are eligible for the position of President-Elect. The term of service is three years for this position (one year each as President-Elect, President, and Chair of the Board).

  • Secretary-Treasurer: All active AEIRS members are eligible for the Secretary-Treasurer position. The term of service is two years.

  • Director-at-Large: All active members of AEIRS are eligible for the Director position.  The term of service is three years for the Director position.
