Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator position is an essential component in a medical imaging/radiologic science program. The Clinical Coordinator has many responsibilities including student clinical record keeping, ensuring students meet clinical requirements for graduation and ARRT certification, evaluating a student’s clinical performance, forming relationships with their clinical sites, just to name a few. However, many times a program faculty member is asked to step into the Clinical Coordinator role without being properly mentored. This educational program will address common duties and issues a Clinical Coordinator may encounter during their tenure. This webinar was designed to assist novice and experienced Clinical Coordinators in acclimating to the position, while also giving them a forum in which to network with other Clinical Coordinators.

Objectives:

1. Promote collaboration between the educational program and the clinical facility

2. Obtain optimum clinical experience for students and staff

3. Develop techniques to handle unmotivated students

4. Communicate professionally and consistently with patients and members of the health care team.

5. Construct acceptable grading guidelines for clinical evaluation
