    Board of Directors Chair of the Board Julie Gill, PhD, RT(R)(QM) Julie Gill, PhD, RT(R)(QM) is a professor in the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Allied Health Department where she serves as the Program Director of the Radiation Science Technology – Distance Learning bachelor’s degree completion program. Dr. Gill graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Professions with a major in Radiologic Technology. She also earned master’s and doctoral degrees in Higher Education Administration from Ohio University. Clinically, she has been employed as a radiographer, mammographer, and manager. She began practicing in radiologic science education in 1989 and has been employed as a Clinical Coordinator, Program Director, Department Chair, and Dean. Dr. Gill has been active professionally on local, state, and national levels. She is a life member of the Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists (OSRT) and she served five years on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT). She served on the Editorial Review Board for the ASRT and AEIRS and has served as an education and quality management delegate for the ASRT. Dr. Gill has delivered multiple local, state, regional, national, and international presentations. Julie lives outside of Columbus, Ohio with her husband, several family members, and 2 dogs. She loves to cook and serve at the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio and spend time with her grandson Aiden, doing whatever he wants to do. President Paula Pate-Schloder M.S., R.T., (R)(CV)(CT)(VI)FAEIRS Paula Pate-Schloder, from Pennsylvania, has been elected President-Elect and will begin her presidency following the 56th annual meeting in Madison, Wisconsin in July 2023. She was a previous Director-at-Large, President-Elect, President and Chair of the AEIRS Board and has worked with the AEIRS Board on the last three strategic plans and served on numerous AEIRS committees. Paula has been active professionally for decades and has delivered numerous local, state, regional, and national presentations. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Radiologic Technologists (PSRT) and has served on the PSRT Education Committee since 2007. She has also served on the ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Examination Committee and Vascular Interventional Examination Committee and as an Item writer. The board is very excited to have Paula join the AEIRS Board for a second time. President-Elect Kori L. Stewart, PhD, R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT), CIIP Kori L. Stewart, PhD, R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT), CIIP is an Associate Professor at Quinnipiac University. Dr. Stewart teaches in the BS in Radiologic Sciences and MHS in Radiologist Assistant programs in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging She provides an interactive classroom environment with hands-on activities and innovative instruction that includes emerging and relevant biomedical informatics applications. Her focus ensures that students provide superior patient-centered care, understand their role as a technologist and take pride in serving as “the eyes of medicine”. Dr. Stewart earned her BS in Diagnostic Imaging and MHS in Medical Lab Sciences/Biomedical Sciences from Quinnipiac University, and earned her PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Rutgers University with a focus on Clinical Informatics, an area that applies information technology to deliver healthcare services. Her research focuses on predictive modeling, clinical decision support, medical image processing and clinical problem solving and decision making. Stewart has lectured nationally on Informatics to a variety of professional audiences and is a leading resource for integrating informatics into the radiologic and imaging sciences classroom. ​ Kori has been a member of AEIRS since 2015 and has served on the AEIRS Editorial Review Board from 2020-2021 and AEIRS Scholarship Committee from 2020-2021. She has held a number of organizational positions with various professional organizations including the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII), Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists (CSRT), Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), and Alpha Epsilon Lambda (AEL) National Honor Society of Graduate and Professional School Students. Secretary/Treasurer Tiffany Roman, MAEd., RT(R)(CT)(MR) Tiffany Roman is an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College in the Allied Health Department. Additionally, she currently serves as the Program Director. ​ Tiffany received her Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College in 1999, Bachelor of Science in Health Professions with an emphasis in Advanced Imaging from the Kettering College of Medical Arts in 2001, followed by receiving her Master’s in Adult Education and Distance Learning from the University of Phoenix in 2006. ​ Tiffany has been an AEIRS member for 7 years and her volunteer service on the Education Committee as both a member and chair. She has also volunteered for the ASRT and OSRT in many capacities, including Chapter Delegate, and is currently serving on the OSRT board of directors. Director-at-Large (3rd Year) Kevin R. Clark, Ed.D., R.T.(R)(QM)(ARRT), FAEIRS, FASRT Dr. Kevin R. Clark is an Associate Professor and Associate Director with the School of Health Professions at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He has served as Chair and Delegate for the ASRT Education Chapter and is a member of the Radiologic Technology Editorial Review Board and ASRT Foundation Research and Grants Advisory Panel. He is an active member of the Texas and Louisiana ASRT affiliate societies as well as ACERT and the Texas Society for Advancement of Health Professions. In 2021, Dr. Clark was elevated to Fellow for AEIRS, and in 2022, he was elevated to Fellow for ASRT. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the piano, baking homemade southern buttermilk biscuits, and watching the Houston Astros. Director-at-Large (2nd Year) Bobbi J. Kowash, MHSc, RDMS, RVT Our newest AEIRS Director-at-Large is Bobbi Kowash, from Oregon. Bobbi will serve a three-year term. She has been active with AEIRS since 2018 and has been an avid AEIRS supporter, serving on the Education Committee. She has shared her classroom and clinical techniques at state and national conferences as well as a podcast, a one-day seminar for the Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools, and numerous clinical instructor meetings. Bobbi continues to improve her clinical skills working as a Senior Technologist for a clinic she helped develop in the Klamath Basin to focus and improve women’s imaging care. The Board looks forward to working with her. ​ Bobbi is an Associate Professor and Clinical Coordinator for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She is an alumni of Oregon Tech with a BS in Ultrasound, Vascular Option (1999). She obtained her Masters Degree in Health Sciences with a focus in Healthcare Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University (2017). She currently is multi-credentialed through ARDMS, board certified RDMS (AB, OB/GYN, BR) and RVT. ​ She is a member of SDMS (Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) as well as ACERT (Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology). Bobbi is married and has three children. She enjoys spending her time supporting her kids in all their school extra curricular endeavors.” Director-at-Large (1st Year) Jay Hicks EdD., R.T.(R)(ARRT) Jay Hicks, EdD, RT(R), is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hartford where he serves as the Assistant Director and Clinical Coordinator. He began his radiologic sciences education career in 2000 as a Clinical Instructor for his alma mater, Northwestern State University, in Shreveport, LA. Over the years, he has worked in the roles of Instructor, Clinical Coordinator, Program Director, and Department Chair. He spent eleven years in Chicago with the JRCERT. Dr. Hicks has been an AEIRS member since 2004 and has served on multiple committees and the Editorial Review Board. He is an active member of the ASRT and is the current Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists President-elect.

    AEIRS Fellow Information The highest honor the AEIRS can bestow on a member is the designation of Fellow. The Fellow category was established to honor AEIRS members who have made exceptional contributions to AEIRS, radiologic sciences education, and the profession. We encourage members to review the Fellow application on the AEIRS website to determine whether they meet the established criteria in each category to qualify for elevation to Fellow status. The application can be downloaded below. The annual application deadline for the installation of Fellows is February 1 . One of the most important tasks in preparing the application is gathering the supporting materials (proof of points). It is never too early to begin the process of organizing this documentation. We encourage members to review the application to determine whether you meet the established criteria in each category to qualify for 2024. Applications must be completed electronically with verification/proof of points scanned and sent with the application. Once submitted, applications are forwarded to the members of the Fellows Committee for evaluation. All applicants will be notified of the Committee’s decision, and Fellow designation will be bestowed upon those members who qualify for Fellow status at the 2024 AEIRS Annual Meeting in Jacksonville, Florida.
